Resilient You 10 week Programme

Your dedicated 10 week programme to help you to regain emotional balance in your life. It’s time for you to start to let go of feelings of worry, stress and overwhelm and start to feel like you again.

Are you ready to…

This is for you if you:

  • Are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious and this is affecting your daily life and hampering your recovery from CFS.

  • Have been plagued by negative thoughts like not being good enough, that you won’t/can’t get better, it’s all your fault or you must do better.

  • Have forgotten what it feels like to experience hope, joy and happiness in your life.

  • Blame yourself for being unwell and how it is impacting on those around you.

  • Are receiving treatment for your physical symptoms from a specialist team, GP or other health professional but you recognise that supporting your emotional wellbeing is important for your recovery.

  • Want to use techniques and practices that have been validated by numerous scientific studies.

  • Want to be supported in a safe space where you won’t be judged but listened to the care, kindness and compassion.

    Then this programme is for you.

 

However, this is not for you though, if you:

  • Don’t accept CFS, like many chronic illnesses takes time to gradually recover from and are expecting a magic bullet to get you back to health in a matter of weeks.

  • Don’t accept that supporting your emotional health is only part of your recovery journey and should be used alongside other treatments for your CFS symptoms.

  • You are unable to commit to a regular practice over 9 weeks that will require you to be honest about who you are - your thoughts and feelings, self-limiting beliefs, values and goals.

  • You don’t believe anything can help you to get better.

Together over 10 weeks we will

  • Take a full case history to look at all aspects of your health, including your emotional and mental health.

  • Understand your health priorities and goals in detail.

  • Develop a 8 week programme, that you are comfortable with, to enable you with the tools to feel more in charge of your emotions and feelings. We will do this through:

    • Exercises and techniques to recognise and confront our limiting thoughts and beliefs.

    • Techniques to help accept emotions as they arise.

    • Practices to treat yourself with compassion.

    • Breathing exercises.

    • Meditation and Mindfulness practices.

  • Each week we will introduce a new practice, in line with the programme. We will work through this together and agree the home practice for the week.

  • At the start of each session, we will reflect on the previous week, celebrate successes and progress and make any changes as necessary.

    This is not an extract from a ‘one size fits all’ course All practices and techniques will be personalised to meet your specific needs.

The aim of the programme is to:

  • Help you to recognise and be able to manage your negative thoughts and any self-limiting beliefs.

  • Give you the tools and techniques to manage stressful situations and anxiety when they arise.

  • Empower you to make any changes you may need to make in your life.

  • Enable you to feel more in charge of your emotions and more resilient to stress.

  • Allow you to practice in  safe space, where you will feel supported and listened to with kindness and compassion.

Numerous scientific studies shows that improvements in how we feel and approach difficulties in our life can be achieved over an 8 week period, if the practices are practised regularly. What’s included:

  • 1 x 75- 90  minute consultation via Zoom to understand you, your symptoms, concerns and worries and understand how your life is being affected.

  • 8 x 60 minute sessions via Zoom to introduce and practice the techniques and practices to help to develop your emotional balance and reflect on progress being made.

  • 1 x 60 minute session to reflect on the 8 weeks’ progress, celebrate the progress made and any next steps.

  • A Bespoke flower remedy to help with emotional balance.
