My Mission, Vision and Values
I was brought up with strong values such as treating others as you would expect to be treated, doing your best to help others around you and treating them with respect. This lived experience has shown me that having a strong set of values is important for an ethical and sustainable business that can support both the community and the environment. I find it also means better and more fulfilling working relationships for both me, my clients and the community I serve.
My Mission:
To help people experiencing fatigue and chronic fatigue to recover their health and vitality by supporting their physical, mental and emotional health naturally, using herbal medicine, natural supplements and meditation and mindfulness practices.
My Vision:
To provide people like you, experiencing Chronic Fatigue, with a natural and sustainable path to support your recovery back to health, so you can start to feel like you once again, engaging fully in life and not feeling like a bystander wishing things could be different.
My Values:
My core values are:
1. Supporting you with honesty and integrity
2. Being committed to supporting and empowering you on your recovery journey
3. Working in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way
4. Supporting my local community
5. Being accessible and inclusive
1. Supporting you with honesty and integrity:
I will only engage to work with you if I believe I can help you to recover. Likewise, I only offer or recommend products (e.g. supplements, herbal medicine) that I believe will help your recovery and I will not be guided by profit margins or commission.
I will not make any promises for your recovery as it is not possible for anyone to guarantee success and yes, I have been disappointed in people’s claims of how I could be helped in the past for other health issues. I will be honest in discussing how I can help you to recover, and how recovery requires your commitment to following the advice, taking the herbs and supplements and making any relevant lifestyle changes or modifications.
2. A strong commitment to supporting and empowering you on your recovery journey.
When you have a health condition like Chronic Fatigue, having support and advice when you need it is most is so important, as you can feel isolated and vulnerable even if you have a supportive family around you.
Our consultation appointments provide you with a safe space where you feel supported and listened to by someone who knows how you feel, and I provide aftercare support as I know how important this is to managing your recovery.
A key part of our work together is empowering you to make the changes most relevant to you in a sustainable way, so you will continue to feel supported.
3. Working in an environmentally and sustainable way
Working in as sustainable way is very important if we are to reduce our impact on the natural world and the environment. To play my part, I use herbal products and supplements that are supplied by reputable highly rated herbal suppliers who produce high quality products, many of which are organic, with no fillers or adulterants.
The herbs I dispense come in bottles that are fully recyclable and the bags for dried herbs can be washed and re-used. My products are all
I limit waste and promote re-use over just recycling by re-use packing materials to send herbs to clients, which can then be recycled or re-used.
I offer appointments via Zoom to limit the need for travel and I am always looking for new ways to reduce my carbon footprint.
4. Supporting my local community
We live in challenging times with many people experiencing mental and emotional challenges or not knowing who to turn to for advice on natural health care. To support my local community in Bristol I have offered free mindfulness classes and I take part in regular community activities where I give mini workshops and talks on medicinal herbs and how they can improve or enhance your health and wellbeing.
5. Being accessible & inclusive
We live in challenging times, and I want to make my services as accessible to as many people as possible. I offer free community based events and there are free resources on my website, that are designed to help you to kick start your recovery journey.
I offer payment plans for my 1:1 work or courses to help to make these more accessible
I also offer concessions to my group programmes and courses for people who are not working or are living on limited financial means. I can be contacted directly to discuss their circumstances and I will listen to you with care and compassion and will try to offer you some help.
I am committed to helping people who seek out my services from which ever background they come from. Working with the community in Bristol, I work with and engage with people from all walks of life and ethnic and diverse backgrounds and it is a privilege to do so. I believe that by engaging and working together we can learn from each other and build more cohesive and inclusive communities.
I hope this resonates with you and your core values.
