Frequently Asked Questions
Finding someone who is just right for you can be a big decision to make when you really just want to feel better. You may be wondering if I am the right person for you.
The following FAQs may help to answer any questions you may have. If you have one that’s not been asked before, do get in touch.
Q1: I’ve read that there is no specific treatment protocol for CFS, how can you help?
A1: There is a lot which can be done to support a person back to health as I have personally experienced, and the treatment is not just one thing. Every person’s experience of CFS is different as are the causes. By understanding the potential triggers for the CFS and their specific symptoms, the treatment can be tailored to the individual needs of the client. Each individual treatment plan is agreed with the client and aims to resolve their fatigue, other symptoms and the underlying trigger issues (e.g., stress).
Q2: I don’t want to commit to a package, why don’t you offer a one off consultations?
A2: Chronic Fatigue is a chronic illness and needs to be treated and supported over several months for the treatment to take effect. I do not believe it is fair to offer a one-off treatment that will not meaningfully help the individual. I have based this on my personal experience and that of others. However I do offer a Mindfulness Power Hour to specifically help with reducing and managing negative thoughts and emotions and the feelings of worry anxiety and distress that is very common in CFS. This can be used alongside any other treatment and Mindfulness practices are included in my packages.
Q3: What if I need more support after my package has finished?
A3: Chronic fatigue is a chronic illness with different causes for everyone and It can sometimes take longer to get back to full health than we initially hoped. If you still need support after your package is finished, I can arrange additional support to meet your specific needs, at an additional cost.
Q4: What if I buy a package, but later decide it is not for me? Do you offer a refund?
A4: A full refund is available within 14 days of us agreeing to work together. After this period, a refund will be available, but may be subject to an administration fee and/or a pro rata charge for any services used (e.g., consultation, herbal medicine etc.). My priority is to provide my clients with the treatment that is right for them and that they are comfortable with.
Q5: Why don’t you offer the vitamin and mineral supplements as part of the Inclusive package?
A5: I find that clients often are already taking some supplements, have a preferred supplement supplier or would rather pick up their supplements in the supermarket. Vitamin C and magnesium, for example, can be purchased relatively inexpensively from supermarkets, online or from health food shops.
I work with 2 high quality supplement firms and can offer a discounted supplement package to a client, for an additional charge, if they would like to ensure they are taking the right high-quality supplement.
Q6: How do I take the herbs?
A6: Herbal medicine can be in a powder form, in a tincture (herbs distilled in alcohol) or dried to be taken as a tea. They can also be purchased in tablet form.
Powder – The herbs are ground into a powder (like the culinary herbs you may use like powdered turmeric or cinnamon) and are taken in a little hot water. They are provided in a packet.
Tincture – The herbs are distilled in alcohol and the herbal medicine is in liquid form . It is also taken in warm water. Boiling water should be added to remove the majority of the alcohol. They are provided in a medicine bottle.
Dried herbs – the herbs are taken as a tea, very similar to how you would take loose leaf black tea. They are provided in a packet. They should be brewed up in a pot and strained. Infuser spoons can make brewing the tea easy.

Q7: How long does recovery from CFS take?
A7: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a chronic illnesses and recovery is gradual and it will be different for each person. It can take between 3 – 6 months for milder cases and sometimes up to 12 months or longer to fully recover, each person is different. Hearing this can sometimes be disheartening, however the good news is that most clients who follow their treatment plan will gradually start to see some real improvements.
Q8: What relevant qualifications to you hold?
A8: I hold a diploma in both Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, which is one of the largest and most prestigious complimentary medicine training colleges in the UK. I am also a qualified adult education teacher, holding a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (FE) and a qualified Mindfulness and Meditation teacher.
Q9: Are you regulated by any professional bodies?
A9: Yes, I am regulated by the Association of Master Herbalists and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners. I am also a member of the General Naturopathic Council. These bodies ensure that members are fit to practice – they have the relevant qualifications, experience, insurance, are first aid trained and complete the required continuous professional development each year.
